　　Find out that there are nodules in the lungs, what should I do? Many physical examination reports only say that there are nodules or ground glass nodules, and there are some medical codes, such as pulmonary nodules AIS, pulmonary nodules GGO, pulmonary nodules AAH, etc. Ordinary citizens can’t understand what it means, and few doctors will explain it to patients in detail. In fact, AIS of pulmonary nodules considers pulmonary in situ tumor; AAH is the abbreviation of atypical adenomatous hyperplasia of lung, which is a benign tumor or precancerous lesion of pulmonary adenoma. The abbreviation of ground glass nodule of lung is GGO, which is the most common nodule.

Ground-glass nodules in the lungs may be inflammatory nodules, calcifications, granulomas, benign tumors, fibrous lesions, etc., and only a small part of them are malignant. Generally speaking, the microscopic ground glass nodules below 5 mm are mostly benign. The bigger the nodule, the higher the density, and the greater the probability of malignancy. If you find ground glass nodules, you should find a professional doctor for differential diagnosis.

　　However, we should be wary that the above law is not absolute. The situation of ground glass nodules in the lungs is very complicated. Some ground glass nodules are only 3 mm, but they are malignant. Some large ground-glass nodules are suspected to be malignant by doctors, but postoperative pathological sections are benign, and any exception may occur. Therefore, even if tiny ground glass nodules are found, we should attach great importance to them. Leave it alone and let it develop, and you may miss the excellent treatment opportunity, and it is too late to regret it.

After a period of time, some small nodules may shrink or even disappear. If it is suspected that there may be malignant nodules, CT examination of thin chest should be done once every three months.
