  People’s Daily Online, Beijing, April 2 (Xiao Jinbo, Yang Sixuan) Recently, a news that "a couple of newlyweds went to take pictures in Wenling, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, and the photographer had a relationship with the bride and took photos, which was discovered by the groom" spread on various social platforms. After investigation by Wenling Public Security Bureau, this was untrue news. At present, two people suspected of spreading rumors and rumors have been administratively detained according to law.

  On March 30th, the police officer of Taizhou Public Security Bureau posted a message, saying that the so-called "bride-to-be-married in Wenling is not local, so don’t go to Wenling. It is pointed out that "there is no such incident in the local area", and that "pictures have been sourced from many sources on Baidu" in this rumor, and that "some rumors are already being disposed of".

  On March 31, Taizhou Public Security Bureau made another statement, and the online biography of "Wenling Bride-to-be’s Yanzhaomen" revealed the truth, and the rumor maker had been detained. After investigation, on March 27, 2018, Cai Mou (male, 30 years old, Wenling nationality) deliberately fabricated and spread the false information that "when a woman took a wedding photo, she had sex with the photographer, took a photo, washed it out and was discovered by her husband, and then posted it online" in a WeChat group.

  On March 30th, Chen Mou (female, 24 years old, from Wenling) posted a picture of the same topic in the circle of friends on WeChat without verification, with the caption "Wenling is so small that a news can be brushed all over the circle of friends".

  The false information released by Chen Mou and Cai has aroused public concern and had a bad social impact. The latter two were summoned by the police for investigation on the evening of March 30 and the early morning of March 31, respectively. They confessed to fabricating and spreading false information. Now Chen Mou and Cai have been administratively detained by Wenling Public Security Bureau for fabricating facts and disturbing public order.

  Taizhou network police reminded: the network is not an illegal place. Spreading false statements on WeChat, Weibo, QQ group, online forums, etc. shall bear legal responsibility, and those with serious circumstances shall be investigated for criminal responsibility. Netizens should screen and verify the information released or forwarded. Consciously do not believe in rumors or spread rumors.
